As part of our Leadership and Transition program, our Senior students are encouraged to participate in community service.
All of our senior students are encouraged to take on a leadership role within our school, in fact every grade six child has a responsibility role ranging from School Captain, House Captain, and Vice Captains to Junior School Council President. All children in grades five and six take part in the Toongabbie Service Awards which is a program aimed at developing self esteem, community pride, caring attitudes, service ideals and responsibility.
As part of our Leadership and Transition program, our Senior students are encouraged to participate in community service. These achievements are recorded and acknowledged by the school and the local Toongabbie community.
Our senior students all participate in our Buddies program where they become a role model and support for Foundation students. There are also kinder visits these students complete in term 4 where they visit the younger children and work with them on a craft project or share a story with them.
