Written reports are provided twice a year, these indicate student progress against AUSVELS. These reports are designed to give you a picture of your child’s school year and to provide information on how they can further develop their learning.
Goal setting meetings are held early in term 1 and 3. During these student centered meetings, students, parents and teachers discuss academic and social goals that have been arrived at by the student and teacher. At the meeting work samples are viewed and strategies for achieving the goals are discussed. This approach helps the school to work with families to create the best academic and social outcomes for the individual student.
Thorough, individualised written reports are provided to parents at the end of term 2 and 4. These reports aim to give parents a clear picture of each child’s academic and social progress and maps out the future work for that child.
Parents are welcome to make appointments through the General Office to see their child’s teacher about their progress in between any of the scheduled reporting methods.
Each May students in Year 3 & 5 participate in National Naplan testing in Language Conventions, Writing, Reading and Numeracy. Families of students involved in this receive a standardized report which provides additional information regarding student achievement.
