Welcome to Toongabbie Primary School

Toongabbie Primary School is in a rural community 20kms northeast of Traralgon in Gippsland. The school was officially opened in May 1867 and has provided the local community with access to quality education throughout its lifespan.

Toongabbie Primary School’s vision is for all students to achieve their potential and develop into confident well-rounded citizens. We believe that staff, parents and the children working together, provide the best opportunity for children to gain success with their learning.

At Toongabbie Primary School we provide quality educational experiences for all children in a safe and caring environment. Our learning provision is based on the Victorian Curriculum, where all subject areas are explicitly taught.

Toongabbie Primary School has a strong values program that underpins all behavioural and academic expectations. Our Values are: Be a respectful person; Be a reliable friend; Be a resilient team player and Be a persistent learner.

At Toongabbie Primary School, parent and community involvement is always welcome. Parents and community members provide and invest significant support to the school, which is highly valued by the staff and students.
